I find that I’m physically and mentally relaxed after leaving the class and this helps me get through the rest of the afternoon.

The yoga classes I attended have helped me with my core strength and expanding my lung capacity with the breathing exercises we do.

I really enjoy the entire class but it is the guided relaxation and breathing at the end that is my favorite.

I honestly was a bit skeptical about yoga as I have been doing cross fit for a few months now.  I thought I was going into the class to work on my breathing for running purposes but it turns out I am using different muscles and building strength in those muscles by attending the class.  I started attending both classes on Tuesday and Thursday because I enjoy them so much.  Thanks to you Elena for encouraging me to come.

With Elena’s yoga classes, it was a complete getaway from the stresses of the office.  I am more focused and calm when I returned to the office…

I definitely could tell that I was getting stronger and more flexible.  I benefitted immensely from the one-on-one corrections that Elena offered; little differences in movement greatly enhanced the effectiveness of the poses.  I also enjoyed the variety of the poses taught in her class; the variety challenged the different muscle groups.

I absolutely loved the guided relaxation at the end. I have a hard time escaping my own mind and her guided relaxation really helped me escape the constant chatter in my brain.

I have attended many yoga classes and I found that Elena has been by far my favorite instructor.  I highly recommend her!!

I felt more relaxed after class with more ambition to come back to my desk and be productive, with the feeling of less stress even though my work load hadn’t changed.

After a couple yoga sessions I started to feel more flexible, instead of sore and stiff.  I feel like stretching my back and neck in class help to relieve pain and headaches that I was having. Mentally, I felt more relaxed after class with more ambition to come back to my desk and be productive, with the feeling of less stress even though my work load hadn’t changed.

It was nice to be challenged and I liked how you would switch up the routine from class to class, so that we weren’t doing the same thing every class.

Being that the class was in the middle of the day, it was a perfect break from work to return energized.

Yoga class helped me stretch my muscles after a long weekend of cycling. Muscles felt more relaxed, oxygenated and ready for the next ride. This yoga class also helps me stretch my knee and arm, which have both been through surgery.

Stretching was my favorite. Although the last part when you just relax at the end is pretty cool too 🙂

One of the few instructors that was looking a round to make sure people have the right form…walking around and adjusting people at all levels. Very strong all around! I hope to see more of Elena!!!

It’s relaxing,  energizing, strengthening.  Brings peace of mind.
The pain in my left shoulder has subsided.  My breathing is noticeably deeper. It’s relaxing,  energizing,  strengthening.  Brings peace of mind.  My favorite part is the upper trap opener exercises (wrapping shoulders), abdominal core work, relax and stretch neck, guided relaxation at the end (I start dreaming every single time – incredible!). I’ve tried yoga in the past.  Never stuck.  I like Forrest Yoga.  Elena perfectly explains how to do each pose thoroughly.  She is truly gifted and an exceptional teacher.

I definitely noticed an increase in strength over a few weeks. I always felt happier, more relaxed and excited when I left class.  I love inversions because they require a lot of focus and it is impossible to think of anything other than what you are doing at that moment, and really appreciate how class builds up to the more intense poses. I really appreciate Elena’s ability to explain exactly what your joints and muscles should be doing all at once. She teaches proper technique while challenging her students and not pushing them too far.

I was new to yoga- any kind of yoga- when I first began classes with Elena over a year ago. I tried a few classes with several different teachers without much connection and when I finally landed in her class one day something magical happened! Her patience, skill and wonderfully positive attitude caused me to fall in love with yoga. I have continued my practice faithfully since and I know that is because of the foundation she created.  Elena’s teaching strengths are many: she explains the process in a very clear and visual way, so that you will see marked improvement with each class; her manner is enlightened and soulful so that you consistently leave feeling better than when you arrived. Once you experience a class with Elena it will become your favorite – so the only downside is you need to show up early to secure a spot! Elena is an inspiring teacher!

I can certainly attest to the magic powers of Elena’s teaching as she was able to help me reach into my inner self (for the first time!) through her amazing Kundalini yoga classes. A type “A” personality & a dedicated workaholic, I did not realize that I needed to start taking a deeper look within, rather than just continuously work on expanding my outside world, in order to internalize and appreciate so many of life’s gifts (and also develop a coping mechanism for dealing with challenges & misfortunates, or as we commonly call it—“stress”). My very first Kundalini practice with Elena made me feel at home and I now look forward to her classes. It is hard to imagine anything more natural for one’s body & spirit than Elena’s guidance & mentoring through various postures, mantras & meditations. She makes your body, mind & spirit feel nurtured and they crave for more!
Being so new to Kundalini yoga, I am constantly wondering what it really is and how it managed to get my attention at the time when I most needed it… As I have learned through my law studies and the various paths I have taken in the legal profession, answers that lead to questions (and not the other way around) are indicative of professional or personal growth and, in order to continue growing, one has to start the journey and see where it takes him or her… We also need to have faith & trust that the rest will come and have someone lead or show us the way (yogis would call such a person their “Guru”). I believe Elena has the gift of being such a leader for those who are ready to open their hearts and souls and let Kundalini yoga do the healing. Albert Einstein once said: “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” I hope you have a chance to take this journey with Elena.

I have two favorite parts of the class: the upside down poses, so challenging yet so neat! and the relaxation at the end…it is so amazing to know how the body could relax in such a deep manner that I could tune out the world.

I have never done yoga and I definitely noticed physical progress.  When I started while doing some of the poses I noticed how I was “shaky” and getting some balance was somewhat challenging.  By the last class I attended I noticed how I was able to maintain my pose without pain, shakiness and the balance was beyond I could have ever imagined.  I also felt very proud of myself when I did the dolphin on the wall pose and I was able to lift one leg off the wall without much struggle.  Definitely the breathing techniques helped enormously throughout and they just got better.  I appreciate you always giving us the “preview” of how the breathing should be done for every pose. I remember when you taught us that pose I barely could manage keeping the pose because I felt it was a struggle.  My flexibility has also improved and I now can stretch on the floor and touch my head on my knees!

While at work I experience not so good emotions and they drain me.  I also went through some tough road with the sickness and passing of a family member and despite all of these rocky emotions every time I went to the class I felt energized, released from all negative emotions and my spirit was lifted.  Even during the end of the class when we did the relaxation I felt like my body was so relaxed my mental state was at peace.  I also felt these yoga classes helped me realize the power of mind is huge… the ” I can do this” mentality has allowed me to keep trying more advanced poses and little by little I am gaining control of my body and mind.

Would love to see you back! I felt like the yoga class was both a physical workout but also a mental one.  It only makes us stronger and better.  It would also be a great idea to have some sort of “seminar” or newsletter about the yoga as a lifestyle to include how to eat and live a more clean/peaceful life.
